I have been busy this week working as a mojo for the Geelong Advertiser, my local paper. Here is a photograph of me in action, using my Nokia N95 8Gb.

Spent much of today experimenting with a Nokia N95 8Gb smartphone Nokia gave me for researching mojos. A black swan landed on our dam a few days ago. Here is some footage (remember it’s experimental) of the dam at the front of our property in Winchelsea.

YouTube seems to be re-cycling press releases. An example of a green policy, perhaps? On May 28 I noted in this blog that YouTube had announced a citizen reporter channel. Earlier this week You Tube issued another press release saying the same thing. Either way, it’s nice to see this option for citizen reporters.

Have a look at a new site, ReelChanges, that launched May 1. ReelChanges.org helps find money for documentaries. It’s FAQ says it “facilitates public micro-financing of quality-screened documentary projects”. It’s a not-for-profit.

A company called Blowtorch, which makes independent feature movies, is looking for ideas. In the past it has asked people to create their own short videos. Blowtorch then re-shoots the best amateur films with professional actors. Now it has come up with an interesting idea on Facebook.
