This report of police confiscating a mojo’s mobile phone is a worry both for journalism and democracy. The citizen journalist, a well-known Australian businessman, filmed police with his Blackberry in public in Sydney’s Kings Cross. Two women officers apparently took the phone and deleted the video. If the story is true, and it appears it is, this is a sad day for democracy. Read the story comments for more details.
