I feel like a proud parent. I’m in China, in Foshan, and my students are covering my university’s Open Day as mojos back in Geelong, Australia. They are reporting for the whole day with only a Nokia mobile phone and a 3G wireless connection. You can watch them here. I am watching them from China.

The BBC College of Journalism has published a free book called The Future of Journalism. It is available as a pdf here. None of the chapters focus specifically on mojo, but chapters 2 and 3 deal with multi-media reporting. This NPR program profiles the integrated journalism school at Kent State University, where students are doing mojo work. Their interpretation of mojo involves laptops and digital cameras, rather than mobile phones.
